Socialized Sumatran Water Monitor (Varanus salvator)
The Sumatran Water Monitor is also known as the Asian Water Monitor. Water Monitors are the worlds second largest lizard after the Komodo Dragon! These muscular adults can reach up to 45 pounds! They also have very large latterly compressed tails. This species is also notoriously known by the blackish band with yellow borders extending from each of their eyes.
